How do the chessmen (both pieces and pawns) move?
Every chess piece and pawn moves in the shape of a specific type of Cross:
ROOK = Greek Cross
KNIGHT = Cross Potent/Cross Moline (only chessman that can jump over other chessmen).
BISHOP = St. Andrews Cross
QUEEN = Eight Point Cross (Combination of Rook & Bishop)
KING = Eight Point Cross (Combination of Rook & Bishop)
PAWNS = Move Straight ahead one square (except option of two squares on first move only!) ** Pawns Capture = Forked Cross.
The pawn moving straight ahead even reveals Wisdom! – “Let your eyes look straight ahead and your eyelids look straight before you.” – Proverbs 4:25
